Day 37: Tatopani to Ghoropani

The last feared day - an arduous hike up 1800m. It's steps, steps and more steps for six-and-a-half hours to Ghoropani, tough and repetitive, up into cloud forest with a stunning view of the Annapurna range. (Clouds mean we have to wait till tomorrow morning for that pleasure.) This is a four-soda hike back up to 3000m.
Today's guesthouse, Hotel Snowland, a tortuous extra 500m above the rest of Ghoropani, provides the best menu error with its 'soup, per bowel'. Back at 300m, it's cold again, so we're huddled around a smoky stove and back in Long Johns.
