The flight to Chicago provided us with some food for thought - like the welcome extended by the pilot. He mentioned in passing that our flight call sign had changed - from UA906C to UA906CH with the "H" for HEAVY. Not sure we needed to know that fact before we had taken off. Once we were airborne, and better able to relax , we flicked through the inflight shop mag which featured products that could only find a market in the US of A. Like the Outdoor Cat Playpen for the Indoor Cat. It offered two suspended hammocks in which your cat can rest whilst watching its surroundings (!!) What self respecting Kiwi Cat would be happy in that.
David, Brian's brother, met us in Albany and he & his wife Branka couldn't wait to introduce us to Emma,
Apart from quality time with Emma when Branka and David entrusted her to us for some babysitting duty and time out for them, our few days in Albany were back to relaxing. Unaccustomed as we are to WORK, 3 days of serious mental application at OASIS proved to be quite a tiring experience, but we did need to sort some trades for expiration, which was Brian's first "expiration Friday". Abit more about that later.
We left before the lights went out in Massachusetts, to go home for a delicious pasta meal prepared by David - we're noticing that food always seems to feature, but we have had a few good wines as well.
The last "word" in this entry is from Emma....... Jen's video clip for the whanau. Go Emma, give your mum & dad heaps.
