Airlie beach was the place we stayed before we did our Whitsundays sailing trip. It was a really cool little town and we really liked it there. The only bad thing was our hostel was a complete dump (thanks wicked travel), and they put us in separate room, so we ended up sharing a room as the other room was full of tramps. Jen was feeling really ill the first day here so we didn't do a lot, just spent all afternoon in the room trying to get some rest as we were off on the Whitsundays trip the next morning. We did have two nice roommates though Katie and Chris who were also doing the same trip as us.

The next morning we got up early, had to wait for over an hour to check out (never stay at koalas Hervey bay) and then had our briefing before boarding the boat. We were actually quite luckily as the trip was full so they had to use two boats and we got the nicer and newer one of the two, called the pride of airlie ant, chris and katie

. We departed around three pm and headed to south Mollie Island, had a few beers and enjoyed the amazing views. When we got to the island our room was fab, we had a wooden cabin that we shared with Katie, Chris, and two other girls from England. So we settled in and then headed straight for the bar, the food was okay, apparently a Chinese buffet which consisted of a small piece of beef, pasta and noodle salad. After dinner we played lots of drinking games which was hilarious. Ant ended up rather drunk but Jen took it easy as she still was'nt;t feeling too great.

The second day of our trip we got up at 6.30am for breakfast, but our very gobby and slutty tour guides had got way to drunk the night before so turned up at 8am, which meant we lost two hours of sailing, not impressed. When we finally did head off we went to whitehavan beach which was really amazing, picture perfect. We spent a couple of hours there walking around the lookout points and relaxing on the beach. Then we headed back to the boat to have lunch were we saw some turtles, followed by some snorkeling . Jen couldn't go in as she was feeling really poorly but ant decided to take the plunge. The coral and fish were really amazing but there was a really strong current dragging you out to sea, so poor ant literally nearly drowned. He was dragged away from the boat, so far that i couldn't even see him and was absolutely nakered by the time someone went to get him sunset from the bar

. Also he was dragged off the reef so the water was really deep and he probably had sharks not too far away. Luckily he was okay just abit spooked. After the snorkeling we headed back to south Molley Island for some more partying, by this point Jen felt awful so went straight to bed, and ant went to the bar with Katie and Chris.

The last day of our trip we were up at 6.30am for breakfast which was cooked on time yay, then we boarded the boat and headed to another reef to do some more snorkeling. I still couldn't go in so spent all day sleeping on the boat and ant was still abit freaked out so decided to feed the fish from the back of the boat and soak up the sun. After that we had lunch and then headed back to Airlie Beach, said goodbye to our useless hostess, then had trouble back at Koloas hostel as they wouldn't give us our free night and tried making us pay for the free night we had before the trip, so we eventually told them to shove it up their ass and went to a place down the street called magnums, got a private room and it was alto nicer FEW. Then took Jen to the doctors and found out she had a really bad bacterial infection, she had a big scab on her lip, a mouth full of blisters and a throat full of puss, YUCK, couldn't eat anything unless it was through a straw, so she spent the next four days in bed taking lots of tablets and trying to get better while ant amused himself. As you can see this was a very event full trip but looking back now it was all part of the fun apart from Jen being sick and ant had a good time. (just never do the sailing trip with koalas).
