For the rest of our first month in Sydney we didn't really get up to much. We couldn't decide if we were going to work or not, but after looking for jobs for two days we decided what the hell, lets just not bother, ha ha. We worked out our money situation and decided we have enough to last us the rest of the trip, so we will just have ten months of complete relaxation. (Alright for some eh).

The weather for the first month was actually pretty crap. We didn't expect to see a drop of rain the whole time we were in Australia, but thats pretty much all we have seen. There has been about five days of sunshine and the rest of the time it has been really overcast. There have even been really bad thunder and lightning storms, and even hail storms would you believe it. So as you can probably guess our tans are not coming along too well. We have pretty much just spent our days relaxing, taking walks through the botanical gardens, walking around the shops in the city center, and basically being a pair of lazy gits chocoholic

Our last Monday at the asylum hostel we went out on one of their Mad Mondays. Basically you pay $15 each and you all get matching t-shirts, a meal, and lots and lots of the cheapest wine you will ever find, known as GOON .Started the night off with lots of drinking games, then did a pub crawl of all the bars and clubs in Kings Cross. As you can guess we both ended up pretty drunk, but had a really good night. We don't know what the hell they put in goon, but whatever it is its deadly, and got everyone rather drunk very quickly. Ended up back at the hostel by 2pm, were Jenna was sick out of our bedroom window. Hilariously we found out the next day that the managers room was just below us and he looked out of the window to see what the noise was and got some of Jenna's lovely baked bean sick on his head. We were both very embarrassed but everyone else thought it was hilarious, and thankfully we don't think he knew who it was.
Altogether we had a good relaxing month at asylum and met some nice people, but to be honest we were more than happy to leave. It's not the cleanest place we have ever stayed and was in a rather dodgy area, which in the evening was full of prostitutes, druggies, and lots of weirdos. We went to check out the hostel and its in the middle of the city center and looks really nice, so we are glad we are spending Christmas and new year there.
