We arrived in queenstown around lunchtime, and went to find our hostel so that we could drop our bags off before we had to say farewell to our beloved snugabug. (Luckily we made it there because ant didn't stop at the petrol station and it was literally about to conk out any minute.) Altogether in the camper we drove 4623km, which is a very long way and we loved every minute.

We were very excited about arriving in Queenstown, as we have heard it is the adventure capital of the world, and there are lots of crazy things we planned to do here. We stayed at the Base Discovery lodge, and it was by far the nicest hostel we have stayed in, really clean and modern. For the first week we stayed in our own room which was great but then we decided we would move into a dorm to save some cash, most of the people here were really nice but there were some weirdos around so we hoped we weren't stuck with any of them. Luckily we were put in a room with the nice people, three Swedish girls Emily, Terese and Emma and an Irish cool dude called Richie.

Altogether we decided we would stay here for 16nights, sounds like a long time but it actually wasn't long enough view from our twin room

. It was one of the most beautiful places we have ever been. A small town with lots of cool shops and activities, surrounded by mountains, and all built around a gorgeous lake. Many of the days here we spent in Queenstown gardens, which was a really nice quiet relaxing place were we relaxed in the sun, fed the ducks and played frizz bee.

Our first exciting activity was the shotover jet, which is a fast speed boat that drives through the shotover canyon which is extremely narrow, and they literally just miss the sides. They also do 360degree turns. We got the front seats which we thought was cool at the time until it started bouncing around, as bashing your bums against the seats.OUCH. The following day we got up at &am to watch the rugby final, they opened the bar downstairs, which had 11 screens and it was packed so there was a really good atmosphere. They even opened the bar itself and you would be surprised how many people can get out of bed and have a beer for breakfast lol, not us though we stuck to our bacon and hash brown butties. This was also the day that we tried our first ever Fergburger, and oh my god they are the biggest things i have ever seen, Ant went for the big Al and jen had the cockadooduloink. ( Soz hev but we didn't take your advice and we did order the chips as well, bad idea, felt soo stuffed after, we couldn't move). Out of the 16days we were here we are ashamed to say that jen had 4 fergs and Ant had 5, we know were fat greedy gits but they are soooooooooo good.lol.

Other activities we did were Canyon swing and the Nevis bungy, check out the next two entries to see the cool pics, and videos. We also went white water rafting, which was really cool. You have to get an hour bus ride up to the shotover river, driving on very dodgy looking dirt roads on the edge of cliffs, was actually more scary than the rafting. Then you raft down the river for 2hrs, tackling 10rapids grade 3to5. Was actually alot scarier than we thought it would be considering it was our first time, they take you through some pretty scary shit. At one point he told us all to jump in and we did bigger fool us because it was bleady freezing, and jen nearly drowned from the boat bouncing on her head. We also went up Queenstown gondola and had another go at some lugeing, and took in the stunning views.
