After our three fun days of skiing we decided to head for wellington
for two days before we crossed over to the south island. It took us
five hours to get  there and apart from jenna nearly crashing at a
roundabout we made it there safely. We didn't arrive there till late in
the afternoon so just did our shopping and settled into the campsite,
which once again had screaming shits on a school trip.lol. The next day
we headed into the city center, hitching a lift from a couple we met
the night before. First we decided to go to the museum, which was
actually very cool and free. Pimped out musuem, which had weather
simulaters and lots of other cool stuff to look at. We also found a
really cool shop which sold imported britsh goods, made us very excited
as you wouldn't believe it but there isn't mc vities, hienz, or walkers
anywhere over here. The bad part was that the cheeky buggers wanted
3pound for a packet of chocolate digestives, so we gave it a miss, and
stuck to our new zealand homebrand budget biscuits lol. YUMMY YUMMY.
The rest of the city center was simular to all the others, so we just
had a walk around and looked in shops but didn't buy.

The following day was time for the crossing to the south Island we
picked the early ferry so had to be there by 7.00am, woke up just in
time thanks to ant dragging jenna out of bed as always the waves on the crossing
the waves on the crossing
. Boarding the
ferry we were excited but this didn't last long, as soon as we hit open
water the weather was hell. Huge waves chucking the ferry around and us
with it, making us feel very ill for the whole 4 hours (not good), all
you could hear the whole time was people pukeing, and things falling
everywhere and smashing. One thing was funny though ant was on the
tiolet feeling sick and the boat was swaying so much that the water
came flying out of the tiolets, luckily he manged to jump out of the
way in time, lol. Finally arrived in picton around noon and we have
never been so gald to be on solid groud. There didn't seem to be much
here so we drove for a couple of hours to Kiakora which was absolutly
beautiful, prettiest place we had seen so far. One side of you there
was the ocean and the other there was snow topped mountains. Spent the
day relaxing and unfortunately had to give whale watching a miss as it
was tooo expensive. The following day we headed to the base of one of
the mountains to do a forest walk, was a nice day and gave you great
views of kaikora from the top, very tiring though cant remember the
last time we exercised lol. In the afternoon we headed down to see a
seal colony which was near by, they were soooooooooo cute and the crazy
gits just lay on the road, or in the bushes which is wierd as you dont
expect to have a seal jumping out of a bush at you when you walk past,
very funny though. Ant even manage to touch one but it wasn't
impressed,
although ant was the one who shit himself and ran away. He also spent
the whole afternoon pissing off the hundred seagulls there, as he
thought it was funny to put bread on the window and watch them fly up
to the glass, they are even crazier than british seagulls, i know its
hard to believe but they are.
