We were very excited about going to Rotorua as we heard there are lots of fun things to do there, and there was. Was a really nice area apart from the smell. The area is surrounded by thermal pools, which smell like rotting egg, apparently you get used to it but we didn't. YUCK. Our first day here we went lugeing, which was wicked. Its a faster and better version of the tobaggons at Woodlands. we had 5 goes each, there were three different tracks to choose from. We enjoyed the advanced tracks the most. it was a very competitive sport between us and every race had winning in mind, Ant won most of them, though jenna put up a good fight and raced like an idiot out of control the wild beast. Spent the evening relaxing in the hot pools at our campsite, although there were 20 annoying 10year olds on a school trip driving us mad. We also went Zorbing here, which is were you sit in a gaint blow up ball with water in it, and roll down a big hill, was great fun. As well as visiting a thermal park.

The following day we decided to head for Taupo, and you know what that means Sky diving. Ant had spent the whole night before worrying so jenna conviced him to go to the airport as soon as we got there. at first we thought we wouls just have a look, but within 15minutes they had showed us a dvd, and conviced us to go up there and then. Was the most nerve racking thing we have ever done, but was well worth it. We jumped with two other English people, and who got the seat nexted to the door, us. Was very scary, the plane was tiny, and the door was thin plastic that shaked like hell. Jen jumped first then ant shortly followed. The worst part was leaving the plane as the instructor has to sit on the edge, which leaves you dangling on the outside. Jumped from 15,000ft the highest you can do, freefalling was amazing, cant explain what it feel like, you have to be there. Then the parachute ride down was fab, jumped over Lake Taupo, so there were some wicked views, left us on a high for the rest of the day. Bought the full package so got an amzing dvd, so funny you have to see it, 45ground pictures and a t-shirt. The next day we had a proper look around taupo, was also a really nice place, had a look around the shops, checked out the taupo bungy but decided to wait for queenstown and drove down to the lake.

The following day we headed for Waitomo caves, which was a couple of hours away. Here we did a Tumu Tumu toobing trip, which was fab. Took four hours altogether, exploring the caves, looking at glow worms or as the giude calls them super shagging maggots with shiny shit, black water refting, swimming and toobing which is going through the caves on a rubber ring. Was billiant got covered in mud but had to wear three inch wet siut as it was absolutly freezing lol. Also got some great free pics.
