Benjamin absolutely loved the trip - he seems to love all animals - and spent much of the time squeeling with delight and pressing his face up to the glass.
Thursday was a busy day - Jamie and Zach had sailing in the morning and a tennis lesson in the afternoon. Mickey took the sailing class again, and I found out that she is one of 6 children, all of whom have been home-schooled by her mother, all the way through to the end of high school. I take my hat off to her mum - we are finding it hard enough with only 2 children to manage.....
Rose Bay where the kids are doing their sailing and tennis is absolutely idyllic for mums and pre-schoolers. Seems to be the Wandsworth Common of Sydney but with gorgeous weather and a beautiful harbour and sailing school. All the mums seem to waft around in their gym kits, and there are various clubs for kids - football, tennis, multi sports etc. There are tons of water sports for the mums too, and I was even asked to join a surf paddle class for mums and babies (in the creche).
Friday saw us going to Sarah's house for a playdate with India and Tom, and what a playdate it was: swimming in their pool, then making pizzas on the table in their beautiful covered terrace area. Benjamin donned armbands for the first time and loved bobbing around in the pool with a noodle under his tummy. Mrs Whitton the swimming teacher at Dean Close would be impressed. He is another little dolphin in the making.....
