The next day we bid farewell to Oli and being another public holiday we avoided the hoards of dubious men on the streets and sought refuge in the laundrette. Clean clothes, woohoo!
One of the things I find strange in KL is the selling of designer fake merchandise. I expect it in the huge Chinese market but the shops are also full of fake handbags and sunglasses and no one seems remotely bothered.
Malaysia drive on the same side of the road as the UK and after the horn-happy Burmese, it all seems a bit quiet. In Myanmar, a vehicle horn is used to communicate the following things: Hello, goodbye, I am overtaking, you are in my way, you have a nice bottom, I am not stopping, I am stopping, I am bored, I will not tolerate sleeping passengers on my bus and its been three minutes since I last sounded my vehicles horn.
Next stop Laos!
