After all that game meat and beer, time to do some exercise. So off to the waterfall trail at Tsitsikamma National Park. This is meant to be your best chance of seeing the Clawless Cape Otter - I'll add that to Lions, Rhinos and Zebras on the list of animals who seemed to be on vacation when I was there.

The sign at the head of the trail says something like "Warning : difficult trail, should be attempted only by experienced walkers with moderate to high levels of fitness". Unlike Singapore or Malaysia - where they'll stick those kind of warning signs on an escalator - in South Africa, they mean it.

Between the clambering over cliffs, rock hopping, and ankle deep mud, it was a messy experience, but the views of the sea shore, rainforests and (finally) the eponymous waterfall were worth it - even allowing for the amount of mud attached to clothes, shoes, car and the later discovered missing sole to the hiking boot. The Tsitsikamma mud claimed a scalp.
