Welcome to the Drakensberg... do you like our weather? Well, if 3 degrees, wind, and rain works for you... then... That being said, Underberg and Himeville are quite pretty, even if the elusive Jonathan from Sani Top chalet had become... well, elusive, and our ambition of heading to Lesotho for Mayday got scuppered.
A quick visit to the Himeville nature reserve cheered us up - well, there was a few antelope there - and then a goofy run off to a nature park, across 60 km of dirt road, which turned into marshmallow with 3 drops of rain. You'll have to trust me on this, but it was like driving on snow, and after having to clear an inch of mud off each wheel of the corolla, in the dark, with roadside rocks... well, sense of humour failure was close. Forgive me for not photographing the near-wreckage, but both the corolla and us returned to the Himeville arms filthy, but undamaged.
