I am finally ready to go. I have quit the job, sold the stuff, and said goodbyes. I am leaving in less than a week. My sister Trina will be driving me down to Calgary to catch my flight. I am still not really nervous but I get emotional some days thinking about what will come of all this. Everything in the planning for this trip has come so easily which just reminds me that I am on the right path. I hope to get any last minute errands done this week. I am still in search of the perfect shoe.
One thing that has been pretty universal when I talk to people about what I am doing is how "brave" I am. I don't feel particularly brave. Infact, I think it would take more guts to stay here and try to survive in this ratrace when it is so obvious that I am meant to be somewhere else right now.
To customs:Yes its a real camera...take a picture!

Right On!
I am about to begin my journey, and this entry sums up what I am thinking right now. I am right there in the same space, with everyone telling me how brave I am, but I don't feel brave. I am simply following my heart and my intuition. I have a ticket to London, but beyond that, only ideas of places I would like to go. We'll see where the world takes me... Brandi vivaciousbrandi
the perfect shoe
I must say that I wish I had been in search of the perfect shoe before I left. I've been wearing flip flops and $4.83 Wal-mart velcro shoes with a worn down Dr. Scholls insert. Good luck on finding the perfect shoe, you have more forethought than I did! ps. ditto on the bravery thing-you gotta do what you gotta do.
Shoes
Thanks for the message...feet are pretty important for sure. :)

Gorilla safari deal
if you are planning any safari you should not miss out gorilla tracking. I friend of mine visited Africa last year and used Atlas safaris www.atlassafarisuganda.com. so she recommended me to that same company for any safari in East Africa. Shery
