My friend, Bill, came up from Florida for the weekend. I picked him up at Washington Dulles Airport in the morning. I'm in the process of looking for a house. He had specifically said that he didn't want to look at any houses. Naturally, our first stop was to look at a couple houses I was considering buying. He might not have been interested but I have a deadline for when I need to be out of the house I'm currently renting.
We met my realtor at the first house and wandered through. We then headed for the second one and checked it out. I've previously seen both of them but I wanted to see them again before taking any action. I decided to make an offer on the second house and gave my realtor a down payment.
We then headed for the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, a branch of the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum that's located next to Washington Dulles Airport.
We were chased out at closing time. We then headed for the monuments in Washington. Our first stop was the Einstein Statue at the National Academy of Sciences. We then wandered to the Lincoln Memorial, Korean War Veterans Memorial, Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, World War II Memorial and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
We headed over to Pennsylvania Avenue in Capitol Hill to look for someplace to eat. We wandered into a place that looked acceptable to Bill. Neither of us liked our dinner.
