After spending the night at the Rock Harbor campground, I packed up and headed for the dock to catch the Voyageur II.  The Voyager II leaves Grand Portage, MN three times a week for a two-day circumnavigation of Isle Royale.  At the end of the first day it spends the night at Rock Harbor.  It then travels along the southern shore of the island to Windego, my destination, and then back to Grand Portage.

I hiked to the campground, found a shelter and unpacked.  Then I hiked the 3.6 mile roundtrip Grace Creek Overlook trail to the overlook.  I picked berries along the way.  I suspected that most people had stopped at the overlook so I continued on another half-mile or so.  The berry picking did seem to be better after the overlook.  I eventually turned around and headed back to Windego.

I ate at the campground and then went to the ranger-lead talk on the History of Trails at Isle Royale.  After the talk I headed back to the campground for the night.
