Well, I'm back on the road again.  Unfortunately, I'm a day behind schedule already.  I drove to Pittsburgh, PA, my first stop.  I'll shorten my time in Pittsburgh by a day to get back on schedule.

After reserving a hotel in Pittsburgh I headed for Salt of the Earth restaurant.  I got a seat at the bar facing the chefs.  I saw a review saying they practiced Molecular Gastronomy but I can't say I noticed any unusual cooking tricks in the kitchen.  There were no foams or emulsions, nothing was cooked sous vide or frozen on an anti-griddle.  It just seemed to be normally cooked food although it was plated more elaborately than usual.  I had a cold green tomato soup, a tofu main course and a cheese plate for dessert, all of which were quite good.
