I got up and drove out of the park to Hite Marina. I put the cargo box back on the trailer hitch and then headed toward Page, AZ.

My route to Page took me past the Natural Bridges National Monument. This is the oldest of our National Monuments and was created in 1908 by President Teddy Roosevelt to protect three large natural bridges that are in close proximity. I stopped at the Monument and walked to the viewpoints below each of the three natural bridges.

I then drove down the Mokee Dugway, a series of switchbacks that drop down an 1,100 foot cliff, originally built in order to transport uranium ore, through Mexican Hat and Monument Valley and on to Page, AZ. It was getting late and I was eager to take a shower so I didn't make any stops along the way.
