blogger visitor counter

I left Las Vegas and headed for St. George, UT to visit the Interagency Information Center to get information about the Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument, a large, remote and undeveloped area on the northern edge of the Grand Canyon.  It's over a million acres, larger than the state of Rhode Island, but has no paved roads and no visitor services.

After getting a map and some recommendations on where to go I headed for the Little Black Mountain Petryglyph Site, which is not in the national monument but is on BLM land just over the Arizona border fairly close to St. George.  It's a relatively small site but it wasn't too far away so it was worth the trip.

I found a hotel and checked in for the night.
