I woke up to a bright, sunny day and went to the Seward Airport for my 8:00am one-hour flightseeing tour.  There were three of us taking the tour in a Cessna 172.  We paid, hopped into the plane and were heading down the runway in no time.  General Aviation is a pleasant relief after all the hassles of commercial flights.

The tour was mostly over or near the Kenai Fjords National Park.  Many of the sights were familiar from my travels during the last couple days.  We flew to the Aialik Glacier, which I saw yesterday by boat, but instead of taking five hours to get there we made it in around 20 minutes.  I finally got to see the Harding Icefield I hiked to a couple days ago.  We flew over a good deal of it and then over the Exit Glacier where I got to look down at the route I hiked. It was a lovely day to be flying.

After the flight I went back to my hotel, packed up and drove to Homer where I'll be for the next two nights.
