I was only told we were going to a farm. I'm not sure what qualifies as a farm anymore after this trip. The area is in the central mountains of Taiwan in the city of Xing Jing. Where to start???
Hotel: There are a lot of European Villas in this area and they aren't cheap, but luckily Minglun has a friend whose father owns one and gave us a nice discount. Ok I didn't really pay. Then we got a tour of the back roads from the owner as well as seeing some flower nurseries. They actually had to hire a guard for the flowers because people were stealing them. I want his job just for the pleasure of telling people I guard flowers.
As you probably noticed from my photos there are sheep in this area. I didn't give a damn about the sheep after that nights sleep. I'm not sure what my problem was. It could have been that really bad 80's Mel Gibson movie I couldn't quite not watch, or the three large cans of Taiwan beer I had, but I just couldn't sleep
Sheep: I attended a "farm" early in the morning where a man from New Zealand showed off his herding skills and shaved a sheep. His Chinese wasn't anything to brag about but he was pretty entertaining. Due to the parents we got VIP seats beside the stage and chatted with the owners. Looks like they have a pretty good business going. After the performance they sell New Zealand oils, lotions, candy, etc... for a reasonable price. I'm still trying to figure out why thousands of people show up to watch this 20 min performance. I surely wouldn't have bought a ticket, but I got a few bags full of free stuff so I can't complain too much.
Then I ate loads of free food
then I got sick
then I went home

. Thus I found myself playing one of those mini-basketball games outside of 7-11 at 3am. Don't ask how I got there or why I thought it was a good idea.
