. All you need to decide on is how you want your steak cooked. And dessert. I followed my rule of thumb and life motto - 'when a creme brûlée is present on a menu, one must eat it'. I'm pretty sure we're going back for lunch tomorrow. For dinner tonight, we all had escargot...even Michael. There's photographic evidence below...
We have done other things beside gorge. We have been to the Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame, the Louvre, watched the Eiffel Tower light up and wandered around a few areas of Paris. We'll head to a few museums tomorrow and Michael is determined to climb the Eiffel Tower... I've got a few calories to burn off so I might join him.
Off to Berlin tomorrow evening. I'm just starting to get used to hearing French and now it's on to German. I've mastered the phrase 'I don't speak French' but haven't had to use it yet!
Bonjour! We are in Paris. We've been here for a day and a half and have been tres busy. I also mentioned eating a lot in my last entry. I am a woman of my word so I've been pretty full, feeling satisfied around the clock. For example, I ate 7 macaroons today. Chocolate, strawberry, raspberry, pistachio, vanilla, espresso, caramel...all amazing. On top of that, I had a chunk of baguette smothered in cherry jam, pain au chocolate, yoghurt and an apple for breakfast. Then a salad baguette for lunch, a raspberry tart for a snack and a Croque Monsieur for dinner. Tres full. Speaking of food, we had the meal of the trip (so far, but will probably end up as a winner) last night. On a recommendation from Jen and Tess, we found ourselves in a line 30 odd deep waiting to eat at le Relais de l'Entrecote. As they both said, along with most reviews online 'worth the wait'. Wait we did, for 30 minutes. Worth the wait it was! Definitely one of the nicest, softest steaks ever to pass our lips. At this restaurant, there is one dish on the menu - steak and fries smothered in a delicious sauce
