Hi everyone, here I am again.

We're having a jolly good time as we make our way south to London. We are heading to Birmingham for 2 nights with a stop on Manchester so that Michael can tour Old Trafford and fill his head with more useful and terribly important sporting information. That should keep us entertained for at least an hour in the car...Chloe and Graham are going to soak up some history at the imperial war museum.

Since I last wrote, we have visited Newcastle and the Lake District. Newcastle was poop, literally. I've never seen do much bird crap in all my life. . Lake District was beautiful and as you'd assume featured stunning lakes and scenery. On our way from Edinburgh we stopped at Alnwick Castle which is now best known as Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. We continued down the coast, all the while being treated to lush green meadows, sheep, cows and very old buildings. From Newcastle, we headed west to the Lake District. We stopped in Grasmere for lunch. This is where William Wordsworth lived and wrote his poetry. Beatrix Potter was also another well known resident of the area and lived in a farmhouse called Hilltop near Hawkshead. Chloe and I lingered in gift shops, reminiscing story time with Peter Rabbit, Mr Jeremy Fisher and Jemima Puddle-Duck. We stayed in a cute B&B in a town called Keswick which sat next to a lake called Derwent Water. It was a little bit misty and cold which suited the atmosphere of the town. We played some golf, which somewhat excited and thrilled Chloe as you'll see in the photos. She came 3rd. It was here that we devoured our first scones and jam with tea. Delightful.

Now, we're on our way to Birmingham for 2 nights and will try to do a trip to Cambridge or York one day. It sounds like B'ham is pretty crusty, much like Newcastle. The locals in the Lakes pretty much laughed when we told them we were heading there...The chocolate there had better blow my mind...
