I'd really hoped we'd be able to make it back through this area on our way back to Paris for the flight home and it did not disappoint! Even though we had a few days of the cold and rainy -- like the first trip through France, we did have enough sunshine to take some great GRAPE photos! Yes, we hung out in the vineyards for the perfect shots and thankfully, no one ran us off! The highlight of the area was a trip to the Moet and Chandon complex where the cellars are over 25 meters underground! This is where Dom Perignon is born! AHHH!!
We didn't get to taste that one, but we did try some of the Moets. Did you know that a bottle of Moet is opened every 2 seconds around the world?? Wow! We contributed our share and got an awesome tour as well. That place is amazing!! The city of Epernay is quite beautiful and the Avenue of Champagne is definitely worth a visit.
