Prague, Czech Republic
From Lisa:
Back to city life again! It's the capital of the Czech Republic, bordered by Germany, Austria, Slovakia, and Poland, but other than the currency, it is one of the most "American-like" cities we've been to in Europe. Nearly everyone speaks good English, the billboards and directions are all written in English as well as Czech and most importantly -- all of the menus are in English! No more guessing what we'll be eating. :-) It feels so much like "back home" that we've even seen two movies AT THE MALL since we've been here!! Very different from what it's been like the last 12 weeks here in Europe.
The city is another beauty
From Cheryl:
As Lisa mentions, we are starting to wind down this leg of the trip. As we start to approach our 13th week in Europe and prepare for home (a few days at least!) we started to think about how lucky we have been to be able to take this wonderful trip. So many amazing places, amazing people, and amazing support from all of our friends back home. A life-altering event without a doubt.
That naturally led us to think about all the amazing people we know and some of the amazing things that THEY have done. Getting that college degree while trying to work full time and raise a family, starting new careers to find that one thing that makes you happy, giving up personal time to help those in need.
In addition to a monthly spotlight inspirational story, we will also include some travel tips, green tips, and some fun stuff! The October edition will come out next week. We hope you like it. We enjoy putting it together and learning more about those amazing people in our lives!
On to Munich and the Oktoberfest!

. Now that we're wrapping up this trip -- onward to Munich for Oktoberfest then back to Paris next Sunday for our return trip home for a few days -- we're getting a little tired of the touristy stuff. Ready to be back home for a while and catch up with everyone! We've been working on a little something to thank everyone for their support and encouragement during this trip -- Cheryl will tell you a little more about it. Take care and we'll be back in touch from Munich from Oktoberfest!! PROST (cheers!)!From Cheryl:

Looking up!
. We really know some GREAT people. What better way to showcase their stories, share their inspiration, than with a monthly newsletter that we will call "What Boundaries?" We want to get people thinking about all that they can do if they want to. The 'boundaries' might be real or perceived, but there are ways, there is support of family and friends, to get to your goals. In addition to a monthly spotlight inspirational story, we will also include some travel tips, green tips, and some fun stuff! enjoy the rest of your trip!
Hi Lisa and Cheryl! I'm so glad you made it to Prague! It's one of my favorite European cities. You're probably already headed to Germany, so my recommendation will likely come to late, but if you ever have a chance, take to time to visit Cesky Krumlov, a cute little town in the south of the Czech Republic. It's SO charming -- it was my favorite place we saw in that country. And then there's the 'bone church' which is in Sedlec (outside Kutna Hora) just south of Prague -- an ossuary that is creepily decorated with thousands of human bones! You won't see that in the US. That would get you ready for Halloween season. Anyway -- enjoy Oktoberfest and travel safely!
