Our first intention was to spend the night in Evian, on the lake overlooking the mountains and the whitecaps from the chilly winds. However, when we found out the rooms were 300 euro a night (for a town view, not a lake view), we decided to keep driving. A few miles later we were in Switzerland -- truly one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen.
The mountains are incredible. The pictures won't do them justice. Around every corner we turned, we kept saying "wow" -- the views were that amazing!
