What a week!
We saw the sights in Rome by foot and by bus, we sipped LOTS of wine in Chianti and stayed in a gorgeous B&B that overlooked the hills of Tuscany, celebrated Cheryl's birthday with a fantastic dinner at Villa Sangiovese and then we explored the medieval town of Viterbo with its winding, steep streets and the fountains of San Pellegrino. Oh, and did I mention the food? Italian food is a wonder - even lunch is at least 3 courses, not including wine and dessert! I'll be walking for a week to get rid of all that pasta, antipasti, pizza, primis and secondis, not to mention the gelato...mmmm. It was great having Deidre from back home to share our journey with and catching up was a lot of fun!
