An amazing night and a dash for the airport!
Entry 5 of 70 | show all | print this entry |
We eventually made it back to Mumbai after a 19 hour journey which, unbelievably was worse than the one down there! Checked in to Harold Bishops favorite the Salvation Army hostel and chilled for the day.
During the night we met up with our new friends Jenny and Minie and headed out chauffeur driven to the most expensive bars in Mumbai, free entry and VIP excess to top things off! We had a quality night and ended up at a bar called the red light. Now this bar from the outside looks like the biggest hole you've ever seen, it is just literally a red light with some stairs leading up to a black door. When we were last in Mumbai a random guy took us there and told us it was the place to be, with one look we turned and trotted off the other way thinking it was some king of crack den! Anyway it was actually a great club and we had an amazing night, we did however have a flight to catch and had to be at the airport at 3am. So we left the club sharply at 2.15am, got our stuff and proceeded on the our long journey to the airport! We arrived just in time to see that our flight was delayed by 2 hours!! We were less but pleased!
None of us really wanted to leave India we had such a good time there, to top things off we were offered the chance to be in a commercial and a Bollywood film the next day which would have been a great laugh and a bit of extra beer money. Nevermind onward and upwards...Bangkok here we come!
