Lots of excitement for today. We took the train ride to the top of Corcovado to view Rio and get pics of the Christ the Redeemer statue. Then back to the bus for a drive to Sugar Loaf. Here we took the gondola ride to the top where we could see all the preparations for the night to come.
NEW YEARS EVE!
Copacabana beach was spectacular - everyone dressed in white clothes, the fireworks erupting from the barges anchored off shore and the cruise ship further out in the bay all it up.
