Since we had no car it was decided today would be a mental
health day and we would do absolutely nothing. So, that's what we did. We sat
in and around the pool, I worked on my sunburn (Wendi told to goop up my upper
body but I thought that the shade offered adequate protection - NOT!), Wendi
worked on her tan, we drank a few beverages, I did the laundry and we cooked
burgers and rice for supper - This was a nice way to spend the day.
Later in the evening Wendi and I hiked up the gravel road menioned
earlier to get some photos of the surrounding terrain. We waited until dusk,
taking photos, chatting, and then headed back to camp. A welcome breeze, that
later got stronger, cooled things down for a good night's sleep. The daily
temperature had been in the high 90's F and is supposed to go up to 104º F by
the weekend.
