We were both suffering from aches and pains after all that cycling today.  As we had seen pretty much all we wanted to see during the past two days, we opted to try something a little different.

We managed to bargain for a lift with a tuk tuk driver to the air field 1km away from Angkor Wat at the price of $6.  We had to wait a while but after paying $15 each, we boarded the hot air balloon.  I suppose the term 'hot air balloon' isn't valid as it was a massive yellow balloon, completely sealed and attached to a long cable.  The cramped donut shaped cage dangled from it's under belly and all the tourists and the operator clustered to one side (resulting in a very nervous Bob).

Its a shame either of us had zoom lens cameras as this was the ideal perch for snap shots of Angkor What and Phnom Batheng (a pile of ancient rubble on a hill).  It was short but sweet and we both felt it finished off our trip to Angkor very nicely.
