Today we travelled to the Killing Fields (how the western world knows them), the S-21 interogation facility.
We think it is best for you to read up on the horrific crimes that were committed under the Khmer Rouge regime. These particular sites we visited are open to the public and show in great detail the atrocities inflicted on the population during the 1970's. Silence at these places didn't have to be asked for and our pictures show some insight as to what happened at these locations.
We later visited the Royal Palace, which quite frankly was a royal rip off. $6 was far too much for tour that could be completed in 20 minutes. If inappropiately clothed it's an additional $1 fee. Half the palace is out of bounds and nothing is clearly labelled. We spent 20 minutes trying to find the silver pogonda only to realise we'd already been inside. They had covered the silver floor with carpet and it wasn't labelled or shown on the map.
Back to the hotel for a packing session.
