Monday had Sasaki's classes and watched the Takarakazuka video. It was
pretty cool, there was even a Japanese version of the can-can. Other
than that I didn't do much, dinner was salmon, salad and rice.
Tuesday I helped out with Aoyama's class for their English speaking
tests. I was impressed with how much all the students had improved.
After Aoyama's class I went home because I wasn't feeling too good.
Homesickness hit me, but I was able to get a hold of my family on Skype
so that was good. Dinner was Harumaki, salad, curry korokke, aka miso
soup and rice. Oh funny story, because my host mom asked me if I'd ever
had harumaki before. It didn't dawn on me until later that translate
harumaki into english and it literally means spring roll. So yes I had
spring rolls for dinner. They were very good! Best spring rolls I've
ever had anyways.
Wednesday I slept in for once and then found out I had class at 11 so I
rushed to get ready and biked to the 99 yen store to get my t-shirt
before class. The weather was BEAUTIFUL! It was like summer weather all
over again ^_^ Yes I was a bit rushed in the morning, but hey it was a
good workout ^_~. Sasaki went through passive and causative and
causative-passive.The school newspaper came to take pictures of us. I
wish I hadn't worn my glasses...lol, I hate taking pictures with my
glasses because of the glare, but anyways what's done is done. I can't
believe how much I've forgotten...I really need to review! In any case
I also had lunch with Naoko and Ayami. We talked a bit but it was
difficult to keep the conversation going, especially since Naoko or
Ayami would be texting and I was afraid of interrupting them. I am
still glad I finally got to have lunch with them, because I'd been
planning it for weeks. Roxy and I went to cloth dying class and we
first dyed our handkerchiefs, that didn't go so well...then we tied up
the t-shirt and dyed that. It turned out AMAZINGLY well and it was so
much fun! Next week we might try dying some other article of
clothing...hehe. I went to the post office after school and got a new years card to fill out for my host family. Dinner was nabe so I had cabbage, chicken, pork,
seaweed, rakyo and rice.
