Wednesday went to the same cafe for breakfast and then went to
Harajuku. So cool! Actually it was kind of like being at home, a lot of
it seemed like downtown Vancouver, prices included...haha. I didn't buy
anything here but took lots of pictures. Once facebook starts accepting
my pictures you'll see. We also went to a Meiji shrine which was cool
but as for souvenirs I didn't get any because they were ridiculously
overpriced, but it was nice to be in such a peaceful area. We went to
Shibuya after that, which was wickedly cool! We got to see that giant
crosswalk that they always film in movies! I bought a school bag from
The Loft department store because it was on sale, not sure if I'll use
it when I get back home, but for now it will definitely come in handy.
After that we met up with Roxy's family friend and he and his family
treated us to Shabu Shabu. That was so much fun! You had to cook your
meat in the boiling water. Best of all there was self serve ice cream
afterwards. Yummy! By this point I was really losing my voice and
Roxy's friends were really nice and gave me medicine and also said the
next time we come to Tokyo to stay with them. We even got treated for
drinks at a bar in Roppongi, I had umeshu I think was the name. Tasted
very peachy. The ride home was lots of fun, we all were a little bit
tipsy. By the time we got to the hotel we pretty much just crashed
right then and there.

Thursday was rush, rush, rush to check out of the hotel and then we
went to a different cafe at Shinjuku for breakfast. I had a chicken
salad, spinach bagel, earl grey tea and a pumpkin pudding. After
breakfast we hit the new bookstore that had just opened that day called
Book1st. What an EPIC store. I would love to work there...they had
everything I wanted...lol. I bought the Sailor Moon Manga 1-12 ^_^! Boy
was it heavy to carry around though. Funnily enough the color scheme is
the exact same as Indigo, if I didn't know any better I'd swear the bag
was an Indigo one. Anyways after that we went for pasta for lunch, I
chose one that was a bit too spicy and accidentally bit on a chili
pepper, my mouth was on fire for a while after that. I had a mini
strawberry cream waffle for dessert right before we headed to Tokyo to
catch our Shinkansen. Got home at around 11 and pretty much just
crashed.

Friday I stayed in bed, because my cold had gotten the better of me,
I'd actually lost my voice and had developed coughing fits. Dinner was
good, more FISH :D and my host mom was really great about giving me
lots of fruit after dinner to help with my cold. I had regular pear,
apple and a giant persimmon.
