Well considering it's still early morning on Wednesday, I will update
on the past few days. Sunday I went to the school festival. It was
freezing on Sunday! I was actually cold for once, not to mention there
was a light drizzle of rain that day as well. Anyways I biked up to the
school and looked around for Emily and Roxy. Found Emily, she was
involved with the tea ceremony though and so I went to go get some
food. I ended up having yakisoba with rice (it was called something
else but I can't remember). It only ended up costing me a dollar. I
then ran into Yuna who treated me to this milky jello fruit cocktail
thing, it was pretty good, but I could really taste the milk in this
one. I walked around the festival, watched some interesting
performances on the stage, one was guy makeover with 6 students as the
test subjects, just wait until you see the pics. Then there was a
haircut show for 6 giirls. They were also giving asian style haircuts
at one of the booths for only $5, but my hair isn't long enough for
that haha. Anyways I stuck around until the rappers who first randomly
started rapping to english songs and then all of a sudden started
singing mexican ones? Talk about random. I got home and had caramel
corn for snack (the caramel corn here totally looks like caramel
colored cheezies haha). Dinner was a nabe soup of some sort, not curry,
so a bit bland, and the pork seemed a bit iffy to me. I don't like the
way they cook pork here, to just being ready, I wonder if that's why my
tummy has been upset lately.
Monday I took it upon myself to go exploring all by my lonesome, lol.
Kozue told me about this place called Osu Street in Nagoya so I ended
up going there. It was so cool! They even had yukatas for sale! But I
wasn't allowed to try them on so I was a bit iffy on buying them, even
though they were only $25. I had a crepe there as well, although I did
have a predicament on how to eat it since in Japan you aren't allowed
to eat standing up. It was a hot day too, I kept sneaking bites when
nobody was around and finally just ended up resting on the railing
right outside the subway entrance. It wasn't technically sitting but at
this point I just really wanted that crepe. I took the subway to Nagoya
where I was actually disappointed. I didn't find what I was looking
for. Although I did hit a 100 yen shop and got lots of snack food! Also
makeup for my costume for halloween lol. So it wasn't a total waste
going to Nagoya. Dinner was chicken, rice and salad.
Tuesday I had Aoyama's class and Em, Roxy and I briefly made an
appearance with Sasaki's children's nursery rhyme class, but it was
like pulling teeth. The students really don't like us. We had lunch and
had ice cream at the school store, only $1! Then randomly one of the
teachers gave us these chocolate hostess cake things? We didn't even
know the teacher, but it was completely sealed so we figured it was
okay. Anyways then Roxy and I headed to Book-Off and I got School
Rumble Manga 1-10. Now I know that Book-Off doesn't always carry the
sets, I missed out on getting the Tsubasa set. I think that's all the
manga I am going to buy here? Not sure, if I figure out how much
postage is to ship the manga back home, then I guess we'll see. Roxy
showed me the bookstore by her house where she had witnessed two guys
fighting. I came home and had gyoza for dinner as well as this pork
type soup. I don't know why but my stomach keeps rumbling even when I'm
eating or have eaten. Anyways I pretty much collapsed on the bed from
exhaustion, ending Tuesday's adventures.
