Okay so Monday was an extremely lazy day for me, I didn't feel like
doing a whole lot, I watched the Initial D movie on the computer and
then later my host mom took me to Apita and treated me to ice cream,
mmm strawberry cheesecake :P. Then we went to Uni Qlo (the Japanese
version of Old Navy). I got two pairs of really white comfy pants
because they were cheap, they fit and actually had to be hemmed because
they were too long! hahaha. I tried on some of the other clothes as
well but couldn't bring myself to pay the money if I was only going to
wear the thing once or twice. I don't remember what I had for dinner...
It was good though! I believe it had to do with more fish, a chicken
broth type soup and rice of course...if I remember I will change this
part haha.
Tuesday was a miserable day because I had to bike to school in the
rain, first thing in the morning. I was almost late for class it was
difficult to bike in the rain. In any case I went to Aoyama's English
class and helped the students out there, helped them work on saying
"er" sound as opposed to "ja" for instance with the word "father". The
students seem a lot more open now and I feel like I accomplished a lot.
There were no more classes for that day so I went home and stayed in
because seriously it was a miserable day and I didn't feel like biking
anywhere in the rain. My host mom was nice enough to make me lunch
(eggs that looked like eyes, along with rice and nasu (this good green
vegetable they use as topping for the rice). For snack I had these mini
angel pies (orange flavor) and this truffle peanut chocolate nut thing.
Dinner was more fish! Yay! and of course sweet potatoes with soba
noodles (tasted very stew like), miso soup (yum!) and of course a
salad. Whatever sauce my host mom uses for the fish is really good! I
wonder if I can get her to teach me how to make it.
Wednesday was so much fun! Together with Emily and Roxy we went
Aoyama's Cross Cultural class. It was more of a party than anything, we
did calligraphy
temples. I even got to try on a yukata! (the one from the picture)
onigiri.I never realized how easy it was. Next week it's up to Emily,
Roxy and I to show Canadian games to the students, I wonder what game I
should do... At lunch time I ate with my new Japanese friends (Akemi,
Naoko and Yuka) and tried this really good really creamy egg pudding
^_^. After lunch I redrew my stencil for the cloth dying class and will
hopefully be painting my eco bag next week. I discussed cooking class
with Moriya and she seems to think cooking club will be easier for me,
so we'll see what happens there. We have also begun to prepare for the
Halloween party, I think I know what I'm gonna be now. Don't worry,
there will definitely be pictures of that hehe.I found a refill for my
ink pen since it exploded on me the other day, and so at least now it's
working. Oh and I got another ink pen, just for fun. Did a lot of
biking today and finally uploaded pictures to facebook. I know, I know
I haven't taken nearly enough pictures. I'll be better from now on, I
promise! haha. Dinner was good, chicken and salad and rice mainly.
Until next time!
