So Japan is starting to be fun again, Friday was Yamaguchi's class, we
read "The Face of Jizo" and then watched the play. After that I had
lunch with Roxy and then Moriya took me to Japanese cooking class. It
was very fast, I understood about half the instructions. We ended up
making Suimono soup, Japanese rice, Onimanju and of course there was
this fish that was dipped in soy. Mmm fish! It was delicious! I think I
will try the class out, Moriya gave me a past year's student's cookbook
to help me. I biked home, finished kanji practice and for dinner there
was chicken stir fry, onions, peppers, pink garlic and pasta salad, no
fish this time. It was alright, not one of my favorite dinners though.
After dinner my host mother gave me insecticide to kill the mosquito in
my room that's been eating me alive, so I hope that it was only the
one. I didn't wake up with new bites...so hopefully I'm okay now.
Didn't sleep well because of comp issues, but I won't go into that.

In the morning I snacked on my onimanju and my host mother made me a
mini pizza for breakfast. After breakfast we went to Minako's house
(Raiki's mother and my host sister) and went to the train station first
because Rai-chan loves trains, and then we went for udon for lunch. I
had mushroom udon and it was delicious, it was also in a giant bowl...i
can't believe I ate it all on top of the side dish of tempura and rice.
We went to Toys R Us for Rai-chan and I got an Orihime cel phone charm!
So cute! I also got an SD card for my new camera so yay! Tried to get a
cel phone again but soft bank doesn't carry the pre-paid and so far out
of the two convenience stores, they only have an ugly boring black
phone to get. I know I can at least get the one Emily got, but
obviously I want a different color. I did go to a 99 yen shop though
(Japanese dollar store) and I got a few souvenirs for people as well as
a nail clipper that works! Oh and super tiny origami paper ^_^. Dinner
was at Minako's house and practically everyone was there Kozue(the
oldest sister) her husband and her baby, Tomomi(youngest sister) and
her boyfriend, Minako, her husband and Raiki, the only one missing was
my host father. Dinner was awesome! I had curry nabe (Curry soup with
leeks, lettuce and beef, it was delicious!), chicken karaage (homemade
really is better haha), buttered onion dish (it was good ^_^), ika (yay
for squid), some kind of roe (that was good too). so overall the dinner
was DELICIOUS!!! I talked a lot with Kozue and she told me about this
place I should go shopping for clothes. It's really cheap, my host mom
is hopefully taking me on Monday. I got home at around 10ish and then
pretty much went to sleep.

Woke up in the morning, lost track of time and biked to the train
station, missed my train so I was late to meet Roxy. Anyways we got to
Ray's school kindergarten festival where I watched korean drumming, had
tacoyaki, odango and raisin bread, "tobogganed down the hill"(props to
C.H. for that analogy) (cardboard on grass lol) and watched taeko
drumming. It was a fun day overall, however there was lots of wait time
but oh well can't be helped I suppose. Got home and gave Kozue
souvenirs from Canada, had snacks with her and my host mom too. Yay for
Mister Donuts! (totally like Tim Hortons but way better donuts!). Also
had ebi and nori crackers. yummy! Dinner was more curry nabe (YAY!).
Tomorrow's plan...undecided. Until next time!
