Our big night in an Irish castle

This was the day we met up with old friends of H - Rosanna and Joe. We arranged to meet at a hotel in Enniscrone and navigated ourselves there without problems. It was so wonderful to catch up after many years and we sat and chatted till the late afternoon before taking Rowan [their dog] for a walk along the beach. Joe then guided us to our castle for the evening. You entered the property it via a beautiful wood and once through the gates ... the castle revealed itself in all its splendour. Our room was a huge and comfortable and we settled in. R&J joined us for drinks at 6.00pm and we enjoyed the castle's bar and lounge area - with few other guests. We booked for dinner as a special treat and dined alone in the memorable dining room complete with dozens of candles and other memorabilia. It was a truly wonderful evening and one we'll remember for a long time.
