Went to Din Tai Fung - Xinyi Main Store for lunch. This place is always crowded. Tourists get dropped off in vans and buses to eat here, no kiddin'. There is a branch in Arcadia, California.
After lunch, we went to Taipei 101, tallest skyscraper (508 meter) in the world as of Friday, October 17th, 2003. There is a the 5-story mall at the base of the tower. By now, i'm itching for some climbing...Kat and Simon wanted to go play squash at Beitou Civil Sports Center near Shipai MRT station and they mentioned the rock walls inside the Sports Center, IDEA Climbing Gym. Excllent! I decided to tag along. My eyes lit up when i saw the rock walls. There are mostly top ropes and couple of leads with ceiling. It's very cheap to climb there, only $130 TWD per day which is about US $4.15. After some basic certification, they gave me a certification card for future visits. Climbers are very friendly here. No jealous couples or stinkies so far.
I think jet lag finally hits me... More thumbnails ...
