Susie is the greatest tour guide/hostess. She took us all to see Mission San Luis Obispo. This is not far from Morro Bay, and the weather was still a wonderful 68 and partly cloudy. The trees and flowers here, too, are in full bloom and very aromatic. On the way there we went past a Mens Colony and wondered why they didn't want to colonize with any women, but it is just a prison.

San Luis is a nice small town and is the home of Cal Poly. The Mission is under renovation, but it's still open to visitors. There is a nice museum there as well. Mission San Luis Obispo

The grounds behind the Mission are nicely landscaped, and includes an Indian Fry Bread Oven. The Mission is unlike the missions in Texas, in that there was no encampment where the Indians would have resided. Flowering tree

The Mission was very pretty and the walk around the town was just as nice. San Luis Creek

After getting a rest back at the trailer we all met again for some fish just off of the boats in the harbor. It was the first time in over 20 years that I had had fish so this was a real experience for me. All I can say is that it still tastes like fish.

After supper we strolled the boardwalk out to Morro Walk. Lots of sea birds, and even a harbor seal at play. The fog had settled over a hill near the town, and it was a very pretty scene for a picture. Tom forgot the camera! Now we are praying for more fog so that we can take that picture.
