Hola everyone

Firstly thanks to all the emails & comments on our blog, loving them. Sorry have not been in touch however been trying on Bernie´s phone which takes about an hour to do but for some reason will not update the blog. This is my 3rd attempt which am now on a PC at the campsite.

Arrived in Ushuaia on the 6th Feb & the flight into the most southern town was amazing. Obvious big change from BA which we were hoping to be lucky with less rain. We unfortuately were not on the first 2 days which poor Bernie´s side of the tent was very wet, mine was fine. :-) We have now pick up a tip from other campers & we now have logs around the 2 man number. Had an amazing day yesterday, sun out trekking boots on & enjoyed a hike in the wetlands, up in the mountains. This place is very beautiful with a glacier just behind our campsite. ( Cannot upload pics on the campsite PC but will shortly). Been buying bife de lomo (tenderloin beef)  & making steak sandwiches (a pound each) for dinner followed with a lovely bottle of malbec ( 2 pounds per bottle) so we are definately well feed & watered.

Have booked a bus to Puerto Natales for tomorrow, 6am start on a 16 hour bus trip, 3 bus & our first boarder crossing. Will be spending a day getting supplies in PN before heading to Torres Del Paine for our trek, pending weather are looking at doing the W plus the circuit. Will be out of computer range for about 12 days.

Bern is waiting for me to head into town so will talk very soon.

Love the watties.

Hi Hon

Great to hear all is going so well - sounds like you have started off well anyhow. And as for the rain isn't that why you spent 12 months in Dublin? To get used to it!!! Cannot wait to see the photos - miss you lots - love to hubby.

Hi Tam - I'm loving hearing all about your trip. I hope you can load some photos soon as I'd love to see them. Hope your bus ride is comfy - don't take any fruit/food (can't remember what exactly) near border as they're quite strict. Have you booked accomodation in PN? They should be able to give you tips on Torres and let you store stuff there.
Not much happening here - cold snap with some light snow again so I'm hermiting inside. Have booked ski trip so excited about going.
Where will you be for wedding anniversary? Don't forget to take a tetra pack of wine with you treking - you'll appreciate it in camp at night - and take some money to have a splurge at some of the hotely things in the Park - Liz and I had to share a toasted sandwich cause we didn't have enough money. And on the W camp in the Italian camp as it's nice (and free).
Miss ya xxx
