I'm having a few lazy days in UB before I head off to China. It's given me a chance to get my haircut (only 3500 T or just over £1.50 for a wash and cut), catch up on my blog and research a little bit about China, as I leave by train for Beijing on Friday morning.

The weather's starting to turn here - when I arrived you needed suncream, while today it has snowed all morning! It's a cheap place to stay here - the hostel is approx £2.50 per night, meals are approx £1 for some decent Mongolian food, and it actully works out cheaper to eat out at the cafés than it is to buy food to cook.
