   29 TH March.

We set off at 7 AM bound for Puerto Princesa in a cramped mini van. This was no hardship at all as the trip would only take four hours. We had one stop on the way and we got back to Puerto around lunch time. We booked into the Ramari Pension once more. We spent the rest of the day wandering around town, we then had an early night as we were tired and we had an early flight in the morning. If you remember we were meant to travel to Cebu after Masbate but due to bad weather we headed to Manila instead. Well not wanting to miss out on Cebu we had booked a flight there a few days earlier. Cebu city is the second largest city in the Philippines after Manila and is located on the island of Cebu, oddly enough.

After a leisurely breakfast we got a cab to the airport. After an hours flight and more fun and games on Cebu Pacific we arrived at Cebu. Cebu's airport is on a little island called Mactan just off the coast of Cebu city. It was here on Mactan that we planned to spend the night. We got a taxi to a hotel we picked out of our guidebook, it's name Anemone resort. It was overpriced by a mile in fact everything about Mactan was overpriced. The reason for this overpricing is because a lot of Japanese and Korean divers come here with their pockets bulging with money and the Philipino's are happy to relieve them of it. As a result Cathy and I had Pot Noodles and crisps for tea. They aren't ripping me off!! It was a strange island and we never really knew what to make of it. It was one third airport, one third resorts and one third run down residential. On the plus side the resort had a nice pool and the snorkeling was not half bad. We only stayed one night here and the next day we headed to Cebu city bus terminal to get a bus down to a place called Moal Boal.
