Dock Yard Island to Rabbit Island / Fifth Day Aboard Yacht
Today is somewhat more relaxed than yesterday. I am barely conscious this morning due to accumulated lack of sleep. It takes me until afternoon to regain my energy level. After breakfast and a swim, most of us go ashore on Dock Yard Island to explore a ruined village. We talk with a local fisherman and farmer, and end up purchasing three fresh lobsters from him for tonight's dinner.
We relocate to another gorgeous bay at Flat Island for lunch, and for the first time this tour the deck of cards comes out of the suitcase and a group of us play estimation and some fun new varieties of poker. Another small relocation of the yacht brings us to our anchorage for the night at Rabbit Island-a place where we can easily hike up to the top of a hill and enjoy the sunset. Only four of us decide to take this optional excursion, and the others stay aboard ship.
The lobsters are fantastic, complementing the "Captain's Dinner" tonight. Dinner consists of bass, potatoes, salad, and spicy eggplant. Desert is cooked apricot, followed by a fruit mélange. We don't even leave the table until 11pm. I retire at about 11:45pm to write up the awards and catch up on my blog entry. Another perfect day in paradise!
