Dear Readers:
My last leg of this trip is shared with a very personable young man from Texas who is returning from Turkey where his sister married a Turkish man she met in College. It was a huge affair of 300+ people, with drummers and dancing all night long. He never had the experience of dancing with men before, holding hands or with arms on shoulders or even linking pinkies, and he enjoyed it so much his legs were sore.
His wife couldn't accompany him because they are expecting their first child in a few weeks. He is a true Texas liberal, and I haven't had the pleasure of meeting many of them in the past. I really enjoy talking with him, but also enjoy grabbing five hours of uninterrupted sleep between feedings in coach.
It is always such a pleasure to walk out of the customs area and see Jonathan waiting for me with a big hug and a kiss, and all smiles. I'm home now, safe and sound, showered, and pajama'd and ready to plop in front of the television and just be a vegetable for the evening.
Thank you for journeying with me to exotic Romania. I hope you got a sense of how wonderful the country is from these notes. I have absolutely nothing but wonderful memories of an exceptional tour experience!
I look forward to traveling with you through my blog in October, when we'll visit Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand! Until then . . .
