Marrakech - Casablanca - New York - Washington DC - Chicago
I am sitting in JFK international airport, waiting to board a flight to Washington, DC. I feel a little bit like I am in a state of shock. It is tied to a sense that I failed with the group dynamics on this particular tour, as it is always my mission to bring groups together and create a feeling of family unity. That optimal state of cohesion failed to evolve with this particular group, and I must accept that this is just the way things are sometimes, and that it is ok. Not everyone has to love everyone else on a tour. Guys don't sign up for Toto Tours to have a touchy-feely group encounter. They sign up to have a great vacation experience in a fantastic destination. I have no doubt that I provided the best experience possible, given the changes forced on us by inclement weather.
I can strive to establish a positive atmosphere on every tour, but I cannot control the things that affect that atmosphere. It sometimes happens that one or more group members choose to view things through a prism of negativity. They are destined never to be satisfied. They can also spread the negativity like a cancer from one participant to another.
An investment in a vacation is a precious thing. The best way to protect that investment is to make a choice to find the good in every moment, and not to waste a single precious second on grumbling, complaining and criticizing. Thoughts are powerful, and create the reality that surrounds every experience.
"Beholding beauty with the eye of the mind, he will be enabled to bring forth not images of beauty, but realities (for he has hold not of an image but of reality)." - Plato
I choose to keep my thoughts positive and live in the reality of a world that is beautiful and abundant. It is a wide, wonderful world, dear reader, and I hope you will join me again as I venture forth to explore its mysteries. Thank you for coming with me in your mind's eye to visit "Ze Casbahs" of Morocco!
Big hugs,
Dan Ware / Toto Tours

Making the world a little bit better
Hi Dan,
I think that sometimes you may forget that some people maybe via fear, can't always express what really is going on in their minds.
Just like me, your tours had a major impact on my life and all the guys that were there when I found your group swimming in front of my hut on the coast of Costa Rica. (I'll never forget it! It was like yesterday! Loved your jockstrap! Ha ha ha!)
Actually, I think that you're responsible for the final push that Fernando needed to escape his family hell in Costa Rica and immigrate to Holland. He's doing great now, by the way.
Dan, your trips never fail to serve their purposes. You really make a change in peoples lives, no matter how small. It may be so small that you don't see it, but it sits there in the brain and slowly starts to shoot out roots, start developing leaves and then blossoming, long after the tour is over.
You've changed and effected my life, I know every tour that happens again and again has plenty of other guys who really need what you are offereing. Keep spreading the magic... please!
