Marrakech - Wee Hours of Early Morning
Dear Readers:
It is just after midnight, and I am finally finished packing after the Farewell Dinner. It was a delicious and festive occasion, not only celebrating the conclusion of the tour, but also the birthday of one of my clients. There were singers and dancers, but most important the food was out of this world. There was course after course of the most amazing dishes. One course was pigeon (squab)!
The awards went fairly well, although the room was dimly lit and I was hardly able to read what I had written. I also had to be quiet so as not to disturb the diners in the other part of the restaurant. It was more rushed than I like it to be, but I had to hurry because the belly dancers were waiting and we had to do the birthday cake before they could come on. Nobody went hungry!
We have an early departure to the airport in just a few hours, so I had best get some sleep.
Love to all,
Dan
