Dear Readers:
This morning we got up before dawn for our first game drive into the National Park to see tigers. Absolutely beautiful park with tons of monkeys and spotted deer and antelopes and multitudes of other wildlife -- but we didn't get to see a tiger. Same story with our afternoon drive. But we stopped at sunset at the tent of some of the park workers, and poured our bottled water into a pot on their cooking fire, and shared chai tea with them. It was wonderful, wonderful fun. Such a great experience for the guys.
We arise early again in the morning for one last game drive in hopes of spotting tigers before breakfast and a 10:30am departure for Jaipur -- the Pink City. ( How appropriate! ) Tomorrow someone turns 50 and we are working on a special celebration for him in the evening. I hope it comes off.
We are fortunate that no one has gotten ill . . . except one person was feeling a little feverish today. Send good thoughts our way. I am falling in love with this country and its people.
Hugs,
Dan
