Where I stayed
Today I woke up and my foot barely hurts anymore!!!!! I decide I won't use the cane today. I'm feeling great and we're ready for some adventure.
Our plan is to get some fresh milk at a small business called ''Island Fresh Milk'' then head to Cambughay Falls. We see the sign for the milk place and turn off the main road, we are going and going and going and don't see it at all. So we just drive and take in the life around us. We end up on a small road that goes through some farm villages then drops down to the coast. We stop at a place called Lazi Beach Club and the woman there feeds us chicken and mango soup. She wont let us leave until we see their cottages and promise to stay when we come back to Siquijor. She even gives me a handmade bag with their name stitched on it ''for souvenir and promotion''.
We finally make it back to the main road and find our way to the falls. It's about 50 stone-laid steps down to the first lagoon then goes up into 2 or 3 more sections of falls each with little pools for swimming. In the biggest one there are a bunch of local kids jumping off the top, doing dives and flips and showing off for our camera. The water is so turquoise and clear.
On our way back we drive by a huge Banyan tree (here it's called a Balete tree) that is over a century old.
We see a different turn off for the milk place and find it right away (the first turn we tried failed to tell us to make a second turn). It's closed, of course, but soon enough a girl comes out from across the street and let's us in. We buy a liter of cold milk and it is amazing (if you like milk like I do)!! We bought plain milk, but they also have mango, melon, chocolate, and something purple.
