Day trip to Galle, a Dutch (?) outpost with a massive stone fort built in 1663 inside of which a Unesco Old City thrives. It's a bit touristy ("Guten Morgen, herr", lots of Starbucky looking shoppes), but when this coast was struck by the tsunami these old walls made the old city the safest place in SL.

WM is exhausted from taxi drivers and their offers.  Opted for a PLO kafka instead of a hat, affixed a crazed, angry look to the face. Didi the trick--they all turned away.

Funny story. Bus back to the hotel broke down--you can see the pic.  Decided to jump ship and take a taxi. Bus got fixed. Driver was pissed WM took pic of the breakdown and did not stop until 7 miles past my stop.  Caught a Northbound bus directly and eventually got there.

Mostly just pics.
