The suns been shining beautifully, now setting sometime after 2am and rising again not long after. The weather has held up, the temperature in the mid twenties, and life is grand.

I've moved out of the house into the summer cottage. A whole day of cleaning and making the place homey, which included picking bunches of wild summer flowers that have seemingly sprung up over night and now line every road and have taken over every patch of spare grass.

The sparrow that has made it's nest just under the porch roof, has gotten used to me, and no longer flies off every time I walk through the always open door. It sits in its little clay nest and just watches me go by, black head and white cheeks the only thing you can see.

We've lowered the nets into the lake and have just eaten a freshly smoked and salted catch along with juice made from last years berries and bread bought straight from the mill; a warm sauna taking place somewhere in the middle.

I don't think I could make it sound any better, even if I tried to made it up, the only downfalls being, mosquitoes and even they are fewer than usual, found only in the shade or at night, but that's what mosquito nets are for, and the fact I can't decide whether to draw, write, trek through mossy pine forests, or just sit and enjoy the sun.

What's a girl to do?

Hope you're enjoying yourselves.

From summer lazing (and loving it),
