Hey everyone I know it' been a while since I've last posted something. I'm still safe and alive, I've just been finding myself enjoying the company and locations that at times I lose track of keeping in contact. Hope these posts make-up for them.
Leon, Nicaragua is a Spanish colonial city that was founded in 1524. It along with rival city Granada at one time were both capitals of the country. With an estimated population of about 175,000 people, it is the second largest city behind Managua. The city is known for its great Spanish Colonial Architecture, progressive political ideals and home to Rubin Dario, one of Latin Americas greatest poets. While here I met an amazing group of people that created memorable times. Highlights on my travels in Leon include: Checking out Poneloya Beach( 20 mins from Leon), Discovering the role that Leon had in it's civil war, Observing the colonial architecture, and Learning of Ruben Dario's great work.
